FAQ

Q: Where are you from?
A: I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Q: What are you going to Med School for?
A: Surgical Tech major.

Q: Where do you go to school? What year are you in?
A: Italian Hospital of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Q: Why a Surgical Tech and not actual Medicine?
A: Because I love surgery. Surgical techs tend to be underestimated (like many other medical staff members), but the amount of responsibility they have is incredible. There’s so much they do, people don’t really know about it. Hell, I didn’t know about it until I got into school. However, my main goal is to become a cardiac perfusionist, but in order to do that, I need a major in surgical technology. Also, I still haven’t entirely giving up on becoming a doctor, but we’ll see how things go. You can read about a surgical technologist’s job here.

Q: What medical field interests you the most?
A:
Cardiology. The human heart fascinates me to no end. I also enjoy neurology and orthopedics.

Q: Where do you get your information from?
A: The internet, of course. Mayo Clinic’s website and MedicineNet are two of my favorites. I also like gathering information from official disease’s websites and put all the information together in one article.

Q: Do you post about psychiatric conditions?
A: Yes. There’s an index to the ones I’ve already posted here.

Q: Can you recommend any medical journals?
A: Yes. Check them out here.

Q: How can I find a certain article?
A: I always tag my posts, so viewers can find what they’re looking for. Check the information tag to browse them.

Q: Can you recommend any Medical blogs?
A: Of course. You can check my list of recommended blogs here.

Q: How do I submit something to your blog?
A: You can do that here. Please remember to tag your submission.

Q: What anatomy books would you recommend?
A: My first anatomy book was Principles of Anatomy and Physiology by Gerard J. Tortora. I studied from it for my admission exam, and it paid off. I still use it!

Also, Gray’s Anatomy book. A classic.
