Nothing like waking up and seeing a suicide threat on my Tumblr dash. Thankfully I’m not a fucking person to sit around and see what happens. I called the pharmacy, the Dr (she posted her RX bottle) - tracked her home down- called the police. I urge people to do the same if you see a suicide threat being posed. 

Often times it’s the overwhelming desire for someone to take the wheel because they can no longer steer and do not know how to ask for help. If it’s all for attention, there’s still something chemically imbalanced.

I’ve lost far too many people to suicide and as a mother - if my son was posting shit like this and no one did ANYTHING - and I woke to find out he had posted his RX bottle stating his desire to OD and had in fact overdosed - I don’t know what the hell I’d do. Remember these are someone’s children, maybe someone’s parent or sibling. 

While we don’t know their situation it isn’t up to us to judge but to reach out. It doesn’t hurt to take 5 minutes out of your day to do more than read it, call them a drama whore and ignore. I hope this person gets help in some form. At least for now they cannot fill any prescriptions and their Dr has been made aware which is one step that’s huge in itself due to the US prescription drug laws.

Most of you must be aware that there’s a suicide attempt trend going on here on Tumblr. 

This would be the right thing to do. ^
